Stored in a dedicated tank in your car, it is injected into the exhaust system to clean exhaust gasses. DEF will be consumed on a 50 to 3 ratio with diesel. (For every 50 litters of diesel fuel burned, you will use 1 litter of DEF).Distilled water is used for sterilizing medical equipment, lead-acid batteries, automotive cooling systems, and other devices where mineral buildup would cause damage.
